Eldest member is the head of the joint family. He takes all the decisions in the family which is also the reason people prefer nuclear family as it gives liberation of becoming independent.
In joint family you have to listen to the head of the family before doing anything important. It is more controllable and there is more arguments because of different opinions of different members.
In Nuclear family, you have the authority to decide yourself as it is only made up of spouses and children. People who don’t want communicate often prefer nuclear family. When it comes to spend a quality time with your partner nuclear family is the best in a romantic way which is almost impossible in a joint family.
As there is only spouses and children in the family, both husband and wife have to work to be financially strong. It is even more difficult if they have more children. So that they are busy in their work and very less time for their children.
Children need a lot of attention and care when they are small which is no big deal for a joint family but very difficult for nuclear family. Everyone wants privacy and liberalization to decide themselves when they are adult that’s why people are fragmented into nuclear family from a joint family.
People have their own perception regarding a joint and a nuclear family and both families have perks and disadvantages. Modern generations prefer nuclear family because no any educated people want to be guided and dependent to other people all the time.
